1. Ross Island

Jolly Buoy Island is one of the prime tourist destinations in Andaman and Nicobar, as the undulating scenery incorporates mangrove swamps, tropical rainforests, perfect white sandy shorelines, and coral reefs. The main activities one can indulge in Jolly Buoy Island are snorkeling and scuba diving. You can even head for a boat trip into the ocean for dolphin spotting and fishing.

4. Barren Island

Located 84 miles northeast of the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair, the Barren Island is at present the only active volcano in India and in South Asia. As the name suggests, the Barren island is fruitless, uninhabited by human beings and has a slight presence of some assortment of wildlife. Although the species here are few, they are extraordinary. The Barren Island includes a type of wild goat called Feral Goats, believed to have been left there by ancient mariners earlier. The island, additionally, includes a unique type of bat species called the flying foxes and some rat variations as well.

5. Smith Island

Smith Island is the twin island of Ross Island. The two islands are joined by a sand bar. Smith Island is popular as a campground and for exploring the lifestyle of the people here. The unexplored shoreline and the pristine bay are the spots to visit in this little island. The island is loaded with coconut palms which stand neatly in rows and contribute a bit towards making it one of the most beautiful places to visit in Port Blair. There are eateries on the beach and thatched houses which give convenience to the visitors here.
