Small Business Ideas to Consider in 2017

Small businesses are very popular nowadays and for a good reason – they require little investment and the opportunities for growth are vast. The number of startups, however, is huge and it isn’t easy to come up with new and revolutionary ideas, so simply setting your mind to founding a small business isn’t going to cut it. With this in mind, we came up with a list of interesting ideas for the remainder of the current year and for the entirety of the upcoming one.

Website Design
Everything is revolving around the Internet – if you aren’t on Google, you basically don’t exist. The number of online professions is huge and, quite frankly, the majority of this article is going to cover small business ideas that are based, or in firmly connected to the Internet. Now, website design is among the most popular ideas, when it comes to small businesses and this is why: designing websites is a relatively easily-achievable skill and cashing it in is even easier. A website designer specializes in coming up with websites for their customers, either by posting templates online, or by running an order-based business.

Web Design
Now, although the two frequently overlap, website design and web design aren’t the same profession. While a website designer doesn’t have to possess the knowledge and qualities of a web designer, it isn’t the same the other way around. In fact, a web designer is, by the nature of their business, a website designer; the only difference being the fact that a web designer focuses on their own content – running their own website. This includes maintenance, adding new and interesting content and marketing. The main perk of obtaining the skills in web design is being able to do a multitude of professions – from designing website templates, to adding your own content.

Real Estate
Obtaining a home is one of the most basic human needs that is not likely to go away anytime soon. Regardless of how much the business trends are fluctuating, real estate is among the business ideas that are here to stay. The 2017 is expected to see a rise of requirements for home and office spaces, owing to the ever-increasing human population. One of the main goals of the real estate businesses is making office spaces available for other businesses and, considering the growing rate of small businesses, this climate is perfect for getting into real estate.

Online Lessons
If you have a certain quality, or possess a significant amount of knowledge in a certain subject, why not cash it in? Giving lessons has never been easier than it is now – all you need is a computer, a webcam (who doesn’t own one?) and a microphone (again, who doesn’t own one?). A passionate guitar player? You can always find people looking for classes. Proficient in a language? You’ll always be able to find students. Good with math? You guessed it, you can give lessons to students, depending on your level of knowledge.

E-Waste
Chances are that you haven’t heard of this; and this is for a reason – there still aren’t too many facilities that take care of e-waste. E-waste includes old TV sets, computers, laptops, cellphones, batteries and the like. The only thing you need to worry about, other than getting licensed, is getting items for disposal – JNS skip bins offer a variety of bin sizes: 2, 3, 4 or 6 cubic meters in size – appropriate for all types of businesses.

Personal Trainer
If you are a gym rat and have been for some time, becoming a personal trainer isn’t as far-fetched as it used to be. Although getting a certificate is advisable, you can always rely on your skills to deliver for what you lack for in a paper guarantee. If you excel at communication and motivational skills and possess great knowledge about the human physique, choosing this career path for is a great idea – in fact, who knows, maybe you’ll be able to open your very own personal training business one day!
The small business ideas list could never fit into a single article, so be creative – even if none of these fits you, you can always use them as a reference for coming up with your brand new, original idea; and this is what matters – nothing sells better than originality!

  5. It took me some time to register what you are suggesting. I guess the feasibility of these ideas are dependent on the space one has. It will be difficult for Singapore to do some of the suggestions like e-waste
