FACEBOOK FLASHBACK MEMORY: LESSONS TO LEARN FROM THE FEATURE
This life is full of lessons. I even
believe the more the lessons you learnt the more the experience you gathered.
Therefore, the experiences you gather make you different from others. That’s
why people do say “Experience is the father of knowledge”, that is you pass
through experiences to become a knowledgeable being.
My
point of view this time around is nothing but about this popular social media
called facebook. If you noticed or have been following this site very well, you
should have read our posts relating to facebook; the likes of “Incessant
Pornography! A letter to Mark Elliot Zuckerberg CEO of facebook, Facebook, an
agent of immorality and many more like that. This time, I have learnt new thing
I think it will be of benefit to you and the society at large.

Memory, it is a great and new feature recently added by the social platform. It
is a remembrance notice or an alert of your engagement on the social media
platform. Facebook memory reminds you of what you have been doing on their
media; your posts, shared pictures or shared videos. Thinking about morality,
is it a good feature or bad from the side of Mark Zuckerberg? For me I think
‘YES’, because my first experience with this feature was not only good but
perfect. I got a reminder of a post I have posted 2-3 years ago on the same
date I posted, in which it was a date we do celebrate a hero and one of the
great mentors, what I just did was to share my previous post again, no need to
be typing any word again.
My
view now is, these days when this platform is being misused by the users to
post irritating, unnecessary and rubbish things on their walls, communities,
groups, pages and others. My question is, can you share that post if facebook
reminds you of your last years’ posts? I know it will be NO for majority of youth
nowadays because almost all their posts are nudity posts, nudity images and
videos.
Furthermore,
some users are not into nudity posts, images or videos but their posts are not just
worthy of reading especially the ladies though not all of them but majority of
them; taking the media to post unnecessary things like; I want to smile, me
with my guy, check my outfit; and others nonsensical posts which you cannot
learn anything there. Even some will even post their way to toilet, to my
surprise, you will be seeing guys clicking the like button on those unnecessary
posts and meaningful number of comments on them.
However,
I think this platform should be maximized and used in a meaningful manner to
interact and meet people, educate people, motivate people, illuminate the world
with your knowledge and experience. Let all your posts be sound and healthy so
that you will be proud when the facebook memory reminds you that posts of yours
you have posted years back.
Finally,
together we stand they say; a tree cannot make a forest. Those that are into
nudity post, pictures or videos are our brothers and sisters, share this vital
information to read may be the will repent and live a good life. Never live a
selfish life, think of others around you.
