By Recycling, Make Everyday Earth Day

Exactly 46 years ago, on April 22, millions of Americans in different parts of the country filled the streets in order to request better environment. Ever since then, people celebrate Earth Day and this day is marked all over the world. This is the period of the year when people organize cleanups, sustainability fairs, waste removal and recycling events and other activities that contribute to the preservation of our planet. As a matter of fact, in many states, April is considered to be Earth Month because these activities last for many days. This is definitely good for our nature, but most experts agree that we should recycle all the time and by recycling make everyday Earth Day.

Recycling is a process that has been present for a few decades, but today recycling is more advanced than ever before. This is one of the simplest ways to celebrate this special day throughout the year. So, why exactly should we celebrate and practice recycling? The simplest answer is that recycling is one of the rare things that literally every person and organization can perform in order to support the preservation of planet Earth every day. Recycling should be a developed into a habit that each of us should practice and follow whenever we can.

Recycling is a symbolic activity that has great value. There is no doubt that every individual feels great when they are doing this and this is especially true when the recycling efforts are part of some bigger event. The good news is that the recycling companies are spreading in every part of the world, so it is no longer so difficult to find a recycling facility. In addition, recycling is becoming more efficient and many of the aforementioned companies and service providers are offering free removal of recyclable waste.

By recycling, Make Everyday Earth day should be the motto of every eco-aware individual. We all know that recycling is useful and that it is becoming popular, but there is a lot of space for improvement. Only 25% of locations in the States offer public space recycling. This means that we can all work together for improvement. We should encourage local authorities and the government to make recycling more available and we also need to work on raising the public awareness of the importance of recycling.

According to some statistics, only 40% of the trash created in the US is recycled and in many countries around the world this amount is much lower. Recycling can easily become a habit and part of our everyday life if we want to and there is no reason why we should not do this because recycling is easy and useful.

If people recycle all the recyclable waste they create, the level of pollution will be decreased, the area covered with landfills will be reduced, the job opportunities in areas with recycling facilities will grow and manufacturers won’t need to extract new materials for production because they will use recycled materials.
