1. Alcohol

DeleteI am not sure about the pineapple...really? Cigarettes, yes, they're not food, though. I ate meat when I was pregnant, and I ate food, just not the ones that are high in lead content as those can cause delays in brain development.

DeleteWhile I agree to some of the items on the list, I didn't avoid pineapple, meat, cheese, fruit juices, milk or coffee. My kids were born just fine and that diet didn't pose any threat to my pregnancy or to my kid's health.
ReplyDeleteI think it's important the pregnant women consult their OB-GYNE regularly and also do research. Pregnancy is not the time to diet. So it's not being selfish of the mother if she indulge on any food or drink so long as it's not health threatening.

DeleteThese are definitely something you should avoid especially alcohol. I don't think cigarettes should be part of a food list but that's a good reminder too. It should be one of the things to avoid when you're pregnant.
