Obafemi Awolowo University Students are known for learning and culture. The learning aspect is known to everybody with type of products they have produced; their influence and impacts in the society. However, the culture aspect is maintained for long and students in OAU are known to be cultured.
Earlier yesterday morning, the school management urged the students to remain indoors pending the completion of the Oro rites.Students are enjoined to safe their lives by staying indoors because the curfew in Ile-Ife on Wednesday, 12th August, 2015 from
9.00am to 4pm and from 11pm till dawn.
The "ORO RITES" takes another version on campus oF Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, where students seem to pay their homage and perform their own "ORO RITES" going from one hostel to another. The Oro rites which started around 9:30 a.m this morning at the headquarters in Awo Hall to Angola Hall later to Mozabique Hall; thereafter Moremi Hall, Akintola Hall and finally to Fajuyi hall in which along the line many Oro songs and Aro songs were sang. The Oro rites which attracted many students and was not surprised because Awo Hall is known for surprise packages.
