This write up or article
you are about to read is basically based on reasons why students shouldn’t
procrastinate. According to the famous English saying ‘PROCRASTINATION IS A THIEF OF TIME’. We as students, we should
always have in mind that any thing that has to be done, should be done
immediately before it becomes too late in order to avoid any form of regret.
Students are always fond of procrastinating, and it becomes part of an individual
if care is not taken. Students who procrastinate are always at the end blaming
themselves for not to have done that particular work when it is ought to be
done at the right time. ‘Procrastination is a thief of time’ is an old saying
which we all know. It simply means we shouldn’t put off what we can do today
for tomorrow, because we do not know what tomorrow’s agenda will be.
As students we should try as much as possible not to
inculcate the habit of procrastinating. The fascinating part of procrastination
is that when matters arising that need immediate attention but they’re postponed
to a later date or time, it is always felt that it will be more convenient to
settle those matters later.
This habit can be devastating and can also be a
deterrent or hindrance to self improvement and later to successful life.
Students who neglect their studies or assignments all through the year cannot
get good results even if he burns the midnight oil, just a day or two before
the exams. Nobody can win a marathon morning race just because he has luck.
Wisdom doesn’t lie in looking at the sky and making weather forecasts, but in
being ready to face all weathers- fair or foul.
As students we shouldn’t do things at a later time or
period when having the opportunity of doing it. As said by Aaron Burr ‘NEVER PUT OFF FOR TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO
TODAY’. Benjamin Franklin also said ‘YOU
MAY DELAY, BUT TIME WILL NOT AND LOST TIME IS NEVER FOUND AGAIN’.
A famous
saying that will all know says ‘TIME IS MONEY’. As students, we should all try
our possible best never to procrastinate this semester, and to always caution
ourselves whenever we feel like procrastinating things and do what we ought to
do at the right time, because GOD rewards an industrious being and never
rewards an indolent man.
